SAVE THE DATE! CAUX 2024

The IofC team in the Nordic countries, in tandem with the Caux team, will host an intergenerational gathering in Caux, Switzerland, July 22-27 2024, to bring together people from across Europe who wish to work more closely together for a change of moral and spiritual direction across our continent.

Given the current situation in wider Europe with a war within and a war on our Mediterranean border, we see this gathering in Caux as a great opportunity to discover and rediscover who the European IofC team is today. 

In this historic place where Europe reconnected over 75 years ago, we will search together for what we can do for Europe and a world in great need. We will be using tools such as inner listening and reflection, sharing and storytelling and the program will consist of community groups, plenary sessions, workshops and shared cultural events and entertainment in the evenings – with enough time in between for good conversations over meals, walks and sports – and time alone.

We want this to be a truly intergenerational gathering – making sure enough of the younger generation can join, many of them now having young families.

Exact topics are in the process of formation. 

We expect the gathering to bring together up to 250 people. The adult rate for stay at Caux is CHF 800, with children aged 6-14 paying half, and those below 6 free. This is beyond the means of many, especially students and families. We are therefore seeking to lower this rate, for everyone, to CHF 500/250 (adult/children rate), and are requesting grants from IofC funding bodies to make this possible. We will have more firm details by the end of March 2024.
